Mail-in MacBook repair: the process in four steps

  1. Create the label: Fill in the shipping form; your prepaid DHL label arrives instantly by email.
  2. Pack the device: Cushion it well – ideally place the original box inside a second, sturdy box. No thin envelopes.
  3. Drop it off: Stick on the label or show the QR code at a DHL branch, parcel shop or to the courier. No printer needed.

What does shipping cost?

Nothing. We cover DHL shipping in both directions – including when you decide against the repair after the diagnosis. The diagnosis itself is free as well. You only pay if you commission a repair, at the price quoted beforehand.

How to pack your MacBook safely

  • Best case: use the original box and place it inside a second, sturdy box.
  • No original box? Wrap the device in bubble wrap and fix it with padding so it can't shift inside the box.
  • Only include the charger if it's part of the problem (e.g. charging issues).
  • No thin envelopes or shipping bags – a MacBook belongs in a box.

How long does a mail-in repair take?

Including shipping both ways it's usually 3-6 working days, depending on the repair. After arrival we diagnose the device, you receive a quote by email and decide at your own pace. The status portal shows where your device is at any time.

What about my data?

The shipping form asks whether your data matters, whether a backup exists and whether we may reinstall the system if needed. For the vast majority of repairs your data stays untouched: we repair at component level instead of swapping parts. Your data is treated confidentially.
