Which MacBooks Can Still Be Upgraded?

Technical Details & Upgrade Options
Why SSD before RAM? The main bottleneck in older MacBooks is usually not the memory, but the classic hard drive (HDD). A modern SSD makes everything faster — boot times, app launches, file transfers.
What an SSD upgrade actually changes:
- Programs start in seconds instead of minutes — roughly 10x faster loading times
- No more stuttering when switching between apps or opening large files
- Longer battery life, since SSDs draw less power than spinning drives
- Completely silent — no mechanical parts, no fan-triggering vibrations
- More reliable over time: no moving parts means fewer failures
Depending on the MacBook model, we can extend RAM up to 16GB. For models from 2012-2015, the RAM is usually soldered, but SSD upgrades are still very effective.
All your files, programs and settings are completely transferred during the migration. The MacBook behaves the same after the upgrade -- just much faster.
